OK. Why did our ancestors eat meat? Because they needed to. BUT WE DONT NEED TO. So, if someone killed your Mom or Dad, sister or brother, or child, and their excuse was that they "tasted good" would you be OK with that? Because that is what you and many others are doing to animals. Murdering them for food. They trust us. We betray them. Go Vegetarian.

You should dedicate the remainder of your life to going around and trying to convince all of the grizzly bears to not eat other animals.

It is their nature. They have HAVE to to survive. WE DO NOT

I try not to eat red meat, instead I go for fish or chicken.

And that is perfectly fine? You are still eating animals that were killed just so you could eat them

Also our ancestors didn't need to eat meat you're missing the GATHERING part of "hunting and gathering"- they also ate berries

mantine73

Yeah red meat isn't healthy usually

Woolly doesn’t eat mice anymore, cos they’ve got a right to live just as I have , so I’m strictly vegetarian now ! ………which means no more grilled mouse burger’s ! 🙀

Ok but you can’t use any animal products.

Yes we are bar-bar-ians. wink.png

For example If dinosaurs ate grass instead of each other, they would not have gone extinct. (I have a very serious theory how that happened.)

However some people enjoy "grass" in a different way, & they'll have cheese... oh no not cheese... I meant munchies!grin.png Then they start to eat stakes & barbecues & chocolate bars, & then they go behind steel bars. surprise.png Barbarians, I tell you, that is what we are!

Or how does that help?

You guys can go veggie if ya want to. That's just more meat for me. I think I'll have some nice grass-fed beef tonight in celebration of this thread...

Animals eat other animals. That's just how it works.

OK, I know I'm being hypocritical by eating meat because I love animals.  I believe  All Lives Matter.  But truthfully,  I wouldn't mind going 100% vegan but I do still eat a little bit of meat. I'm trying to eat less as I get older. I probably eat only 20% of the amount of meat I ate 5 years ago.  Even after I reach 0% meat and become vegan I'm not gonna be hateful to the meatatarians.  It's their choice & u can't control others thoughts & actions.  U can persuade but not control. I ain't a soy boy but I don't ridicule those that wanna be that way.  I don't hunt but if I had to do that to survive I would but never for entertainment like some do.

Not for me. Vegan sushi is actually decent though.

By the way I saw a video recently showing a 100% vegan Burger King in England.  I thought that was cool. I've tried 2 Impossible Burgers from Burger King. It's the whopper that's made without meat, a vegetarian pattie. I can taste the difference but it was still good. Try it as an experiment if u want to. I rarely go to BK but I wanted to test that burger.

There's a Part 2 that I didn't bother linking to. Also, this video doesn't even address the amino acids issue.

I eat that sort of thing when I'm drunk and stuck out somewhere.

Apparently the Burger king thing was for a month or so - probably a promotion. I'd probably have it as a novelty.

There was some rumour about a possible protest outside a mcdonalds, but it really wouldn't be a good idea where I live. Never ended up happening.

I neither like Mcdonalds, nor such protests. Sort of neutral on it.
