How did you discover the OTF page and what do you like best about it?

I first frequented the Books & Equipment section then looked around. At first I liked the OTF for the interesting conversations. I like OTF now because it has become so uninteresting I'm wasting a lot less time here.

I discovered the OTF page when I was going through a major chess slump, and I had just unfriended someone who I really liked and chatted with a lot, and frankly, I was BORED! What do I like best about the OTF page? I like engaging in witty banter and exchanging ideas and being creative and encouraging and hopefully, not TOO bossy!
When I first discovered the forums on this site, checking it out, I found this section. I don't remember the specifics because it was several years ago. Because of the rather random nature of my mind, however, I often get the ability to share what I am thinking, and the random nature of this forum can help me to avoid breaking the flow of conversation.

I know what you mean - I HATE small talk - it gets on my nerves and it does not bring out my kinder, gentler side.
