how do I clean stains off drywall help

if the stains are on painted drywall, you should try washing them off first. Unlikely to be able to remove them, but when fixing anything, always try the cheapest solution first.

"Kilz" brand primer/paint hides stains very well, but it's paint, so matching can be a problem. One way around this is to buy the supplies to fix the stains and have them visibly on hand during your inspection, inferring that you are on the problem. Having the supplies might buy you time to make the repair

always read primer and paint labels carefully BEFORE buying. Unless you like returning stuff to the big box stores.

MANY paints, primers and other products do NOT work well together. Always read labels to be sure you are buying products that work together

buy a flag of your country big enough to hang on the wall and hide the stains for inspection, and act patriotic while the inspector is there? grin

Construction restoration guys say this...

I work in restoration. We don’t even bother cleaning flat painted walls because they will not come clean and just look smeared. We tell everyone to use semi-gloss paint if you want cleanable walls.
