The only time i really study is about a month before a tournament. That is my motivation. And im not talking about real studying, but putting in some time, and effort that makes it fun.
How do you keep yourself Motivated?

I don't believe there's a big gap in talents between World Champion and Top 3 Contenders. It's the motivation factor that separate the WC from the Contenders

Motivation, desire, and ability.
I have had friends tell me for years that if i only applied myself i could make master. Well...now that im 55, it would be Expert. Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like my report cards from school.
