How far and how often you run depends on a mix of your athleticism, training, and fitness. If you feel too sore too often, then you should either run slower or take a rest day.
I am sure there are youtube videos on proper form, it could be that your legs are sore, but if you do it everyday, you should stop being sore after a week or two because your legs will become more physically capable of running that distance, unless you run faster every time, you are probably just getting stronger.
