OCD can help for sure as long as it doesn't give you insomnia. It's helpful for remembering to do the technique though.

1. Dream journal to build up your memory of dreams
2. Before bed, tell yourself that you will soon recognize you are dreaming
3. Repeat step 2 until you feel confident that you will succeed
4. (Most Important) Play back a previous dream you had in your mind, except this time you notice something weird that happened, and realize you are dreaming.
5. Repeat step 4 until you fall asleep, if you can't fall asleep while doing it, repeat for around 10 minutes and then fall asleep normally.
6. Profit. Small individual studies have shown this technique to have a success rate of up to 46% nightly.
