I hate all of those goshd--n GOOFY Avatars !

Someone has a thread on the go now to complain about people who are using Pandas or Koala Bears for their avatars. I'm a bit confused by this as these critters are very cute compared to some rather ugly avatares that are being used here. 

Isn't that an old thread?  Or did they start up a new one?

No it is 9 days old, but it might be a thread that duplicates an older one tho as you mentioned.

I see that someone has started a real fun thread on: " The Best Avatar On Chess.com ". I wonder if there will be any prizes given out ?

Hey! My avatar is self-made. It even uses the exact CMYK colours of the Italian flag. AndyClifton even uses it to call me blanketboy. Other users have said that it looks like a self-help book. So it must be good.

I don't change my avatar in case I confuse myself. ;)

Linuxblue1: Yes you do have a nice avatar and it is also easy to recognize.

Kayak21: That is a good point. In my case I'm using the regular Pawn for my avatar and so things can get a bit confusing.

cab: Instead of just a pawn, maybe chess.com could let people pick from a queen, king, rook, knight or bishop. Why just a grey pawn? Lets have some colour. ;)

Mind you I don't think Pawns are goofy. They are worth their weight in Gold when I get to promote one of them.

Should a avatar be permanent ? Someone has thread on the go here now in regards to that question. I have mentioned that some people on this site change their avatar so often that it makes my head spin but I don't think that people need to keep their avatar forever ( after all it is your avatar ).

Well I remember that when I started at this site Ivandh was the de-facto ruler of Belgium and he has had a number of different flags since then. I think that he has a very important job at the UN ( like a roving Ambassador ), even now he is probably visting some distant land.  

I started this thread because of the fact that there are some goofy avatars in use here on this site. However earlier today I was visiting a thread where people were chatting about some of the goofy usernames that people use. What bothers me about the usernames here is the fact that some people insist on changing their username ( talk about Confusion ! ).  

I thought you could only change your username once. ;)
