I Will Not Serve !!!

There have been some changes among the moderators recently with some turnover happening in that department. To paraphrase a US President from many years ago: " I will not run for the nomination and furthermore if nominated and elected I will NOT Serve   lol ".

Thanks for the post. I'm just trying to get things clear in case there is a stampede for the jobs ( one must be very careful ).

I see that some folks still want to be moderators and that is a good thing. However my position remains the same ( I will not serve ! ).

I used to want to be a moderator. And also possibly staff.

then one day a 11 year old triggered me so bad I got a warning

Now I am not eligible LOL

it really doesn't matter. in the forums, we do not see moderation as we used to. staff presence is rare. it appears that working the bugs out of v3 is what everyone is working on. basically, what i have seen is that, if you start a dumb topic, like b v. k, and i post pictures of motorboat dude, i will be muted. 

to that point, i started a topic about v3 questions in the help and support forum. i was told to use a different function where i submit issues directly to staff. i asked, what, then, is the function of the h & s forum?

My mom made me go learn a language when she found out I'd spent 20 hours on Reddit, Christmas eve, And Christmas Day. I'm really into forums since I have no real life friends. But chess.com has got to chill out with the "child friendliness" Who in their right mind lets a 8 year old on forums? Especialy if they don't want them seeing adult themes. I can understand some people just don't want to see it, Given religion or something. But they don't have to go on these. I can understand no politics and religion , Since people have had Wars in history over such. But opinions share. Open Discussion is accessible by all. Though in the first place why have off-topic forums in a chess site.

   ---   I see that we now have more threads on the go from people who wish to serve as mods. One must admire the fact that these folks want to help out however in my case I will not serve ( if nominated and elected  lol ).
