You retain your human mind. Otherwise you would never change back because you would simply become that animal—mind and all. So you wouldn’t be comparatively stupid, you would only have the animal’s shape/body. Your mind and soul remain human.

I meant not humans. Most humans don’t think of themselves as animals. If you do, that is okay. But, to be clear, I did intend for you to choose two other species from the animal kingdom—bugs, mammals, birds, reptiles, marsupials, arachnids, and more.

p.s. I have written a 60,000 word novel about a challenge where people make animal hybrids and turn into them to fight each other.

It’s already a book series. Why novel? I also said I have written a novel about people who can turn into a hybrid—made from 2 to 4 animals—and then fight other hybrid.
I have 6 books in the series complete. They just need to be edited and published.
