Yeah, it is okay if people want to share their age as long as they understand that revealing any personal information online comes with inherent risks. I just don't want people sharing personal information unaware of potential dangers. Why don't we share less personal details (if anything) like what hobbies people have other than chess or something fun they did recently

Or perhaps this helps illustrate that chess ability is not the same as IQ. Being good at chess is more about pattern recognition, experience and a drive to keep improving. The point of chess being a game of intelligence is a misnomer and a trope. Sure, many intelligent people play chess, but is this because of the game requires it, or the more likely that intelligent people are simply more likely to pursue chess?
