There's no beer or Wi-Fi at a monastery--to my knowledge, unless things have changed in the past several decades--but there *is* plenty of really good BREAD! I remember back in the 1980s there being a monastery several towns over, and it gave weekend tours, sold things at a gift shop, etc., and what sticks out in my memory is just hiw GOOD their bread was. They baked it themsrlves.

Yes. The bread is awesome. All the food is. Building work in 35 degrees is less awesome but good for losing weight :)
