That IQ test is worthless now - you've just given away an answer. Everyone's IQ will suddenly jump. How many fingers am I holding up to count your IQ?

Real IQ tests are in a way worthless. The rely on the logic that the test's creator has not made any bias in the schema for test takers.
Also it assumes that the tested areas are most valuably for intelligence/learning, however there is no good way to apply tests for creativity and innovative thinking.

Isn't the correct answer to this question not 20 but 1?
Heh, very logical (or literal I guess) -- depending on the IQ test maker I'm sure that may be a correct answer as thesexyknight was pointing out.
That's one reason I hated (some) multiple choice questions in school -- if the teacher had a funny way of wording it, you could either take it too literally or not literally enough.

Yes, I think the correct answer is one, as "number" and "digit" (probably what the question refers to) are different things.
I LOL'd at the analysis of the other questions .

I think you're giving too much credit to an online "test" that's only after a few bits of personal information Maybe I should have complained that "1" wasn't an option instead. I'm not sure how you got 19 as a possible answer though.

The same way Einstein figured out that e=mc^2..... Guess and check.
Ok so I know these aren't really IQ tests, they're worthless, a waste of time, and just want your cell phone number or e-mail or whatever... but I was really bored and followed the link from this site.
Anyway one question was "how many times will you encounter the number 6 when counting from 1 to 100" So I added them up in my head and got 20... 20 wasn't one of the options (the choices were something like 10, 11, 16, 19). So I counted more carefully and again it's 20... the answer really is 20 but this "IQ test" evidently counted "66" as one 6 or something and the correct answer wasn't even an option.
Anyway I thought it was funny, showing how silly and worthless these tests are. Maybe I should have expected as much when the first question was an optical illusion asking what you saw (first of all, anything I see is correct because it's not asking what's actually there but what I see) but one of the options was "maybe" as if "maybe" I saw something or didn't... lol.
