People on the left can basically say anything they want, but when we say our opinion it is considered “hate speech”. What is your opinion on the matter?

For me, it’s not so much WHAT is said versus HOW it’s said. If you wanna have an opinion and not be convinced otherwise, fine. As long as that opinion doesn’t impede somebody else’s life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
Depends on the context and what they are trying to imply.

“Sticks and stones” was never true. I was bullied all through high school. Plenty of emotional scars to show for it.

My opinion is that people shouldn't be so polarized in the first place. Don't these same people share and disagree with some of the ideas on either side? This need to mark a person or opinion as right or left wing.

Lefties generally say what other people want them to.
Apparently, the police's official definition of hate speech includes:
"ill-will, spite, contempt, prejudice, unfriendliness, antagonism, resentment and dislike"
Which leads to 120,000 reports to police, but not a single crime.

Nobody’s asking you to change. Just don’t restrict someone else’s rights to do what they want with their life and body. And also don’t make other people miserable.
Political correctness, hate speech, npc's, are generally a lefty thing.

Sometimes that can't be helped when spacetime is shared. Most things worth saying tend to offend some one.
But then again that's not what most people are saying that hurt others.
