On a 3d Chessboard there are two types of direction that could be classified as diagonal, which are the (1,1,0) directions, and the (1,1,1) directions. If a piece moves along a (1,1,0) direction, then it moves the same number of cubes in 2 of the three dimensions, while not moving in one of the three dimensions. If a piece moves along a (1,1,1) direction, then it moves the same number of cubes in all 3 dimensions.
Are there other names for these two types of directions, that distinguish them from each other?
