It only has the "potential" to be infinite ... IF and when Time itself is infinite.

By definition, it is NOT infinite today. This is very clear as the universe is larger today than yesterday and most likely will be larger tomorrow. The physical universe is Finite.

Physical infinities DO NOT exist.

Limits apply to everything - Size .. large or small; speed, space, quantities etc. are all Finite and governed by natural laws.

Infinity is an Abstract concept of the mind. The concept has practical applications in mathematics. It does not exist in the Real World.
