Max, in the day where any device you can feasibly buy has wifi and a browser, Parents would have to basically isolate their kids from all devices. Plus if they go to school their friends can give them phones or something like that. It's no longer something they can easily control sadly. So we get people who think Minecraft is awesome.
True, I have the same issue, except chess.com isn't a site kids would normally join without adult encouragement. Unlike one joins it's not likely one realises that it's more social media than chess.
