Knight or Bishop?? Which one is more helpful?
It depends on the position. Most often, when you are in a closed position (usually the opening), knights are more helpful as they can move around the board freely, while bishops are often trapped on one side and cannot do much. However, in the middlegame and endgame, bishops are usually more helpful as they can move across large spaces of the board, while knights take multiple moves to get to a space in which a bishop would have gotten to in one move.
