KOTL: A Complete History (INCOMPLETE)

It's a narrative of King of the Ladder, where I take a bunch of one-sentence posts made by a bunch of teenagers who were probably insane and turn them into a compelling story.

I will write it when I have time. I’m juggling two stories along with a KOTL I’m going to make, along with being in a zillion advanced classes. K?

Have fun with that lol

hitthepin

Yeah. Real fun.

vinyboy24

ooof I wished I was there for KOTL season 1

Mr_Alex_Pims
Where?
hitthepin

Nah. You like it so much, YOU do it.

vinyboy24
So.... what next?
hitthepin

Nothing, lol. This was just a little bonus thing to celebrate TOGOT’s birthday. I don’t plan on doing anything afterwards. If someone wants to take the idea, go right ahead.

thegreatauk

Actually I would like this to continue as well.

hitthepin

Oh come on. Is the Indieverse not enough for you people? I fill your insatiable gullets with more and more and...

Sorry, went off on a reference. I’ll think about it. K?

Chapter 2: A Line in the Sand

Mark sat on the toilet, his machete in hand, tapping his foot on the ground.

He was an interesting fellow, that Mark. Not really from around here. This was his first adventure here, and it would prove to be his last. Whether he was cut out for this stressful business or not wasn’t exactly clear, but here he was.

Mark followed a simple strategy. He was obviously not the murderer, so he’d simply stay inside, behind locked doors. Surely, he thought, this would be a safe strategy. The only thing he’d have to fear was boredom.

Unbeknownst to him, he’d be dead in a day.

Aaron walked to the grocery store. The streets were quiet and empty. Peaceful. And hey, he needed some food.

Suddenly, Ryan popped up out of nowhere and aimed a tranquilizer gun at him.

“Stand and deliver!”

Aaron put his hands up. “What? What do you want? I’m just getting some food!”

”Alright. Here’s how this is going to go.” Ryan grinned. It was clear he was kind of enjoying this. “I’m going to tranquilize you, then feed you some truth serum, and you’re going to tell me if you’re the murderer.”

”I’m not the murderer! And I’m not bothering you? Can you just leave me alone, please?”

”Have it your way.” Ryan cocked his gun.

A smoke bomb careened out of nowhere and slammed right next to Ryan, releasing the substance everywhere and blinding him.

”What? No! Who did this?” he blindly shouted, dropping his gun and waving his hands around.

Aaron took off to the grocery store, breathing a sigh of relief. He’d have to thank whoever saved him later.

Arjun tossed a third smoke bomb down below. The street was so clogged with the stuff that Ryan couldn’t even be seen through it.

”Nice job, dude!” DFS held up her hand in the offer of a high five.

Arjun looked away and denied the hand, a grim expression on his face.

”I’m going down there,” he declared.

“Uh, that’s a three-story fall.” As though his limbs were on puppet strings, he had moved onto the edge of the building and crouched, as though he was getting ready to jump off.

Arjun shook his head, as though to shake off some delirium. “Yeah. You’re right.”

He stepped off the edge and made his way to the roof access staircase, DFS following behind.

When the smoke cleared, Ryan could be seen, brandishing his tranquilizer in all directions in an attempt to appear intimidating.

”Yo.”

There, at the other end of the street, stood DFS and Arjun, guns held.

Ryan smiled. “So! You must be the folks that smoke bombed me.”

”Maybe.”

”You are the only folks around who have even managed to bother me! Finally, a worthy opponent!” He shot two darts at the duo, both missing. “Our battle will be legen-“

Ryan’s grand speech was cut off as DFS shot him in the leg.

“Run!” The duo raced around the corner while Ryan cursed and bled, still trying to shoot them and failing miserably.

great chapter. beautiful retelling. can't wait to see more.

btw, the gameplay and modding gets real messy mid/late season 2 tho. season 3 was not good and i do not want to remember it.

Don’t worry, man. I’m still struggling to piece together what happened in this game. Ry’s and Holo’s posts are all deleted, so it’s exetremely difficult. Anyways, I highly doubt I’ll make it to season 2, let alone season 3.

I do remember this game very clearly. There was lots of gasoline involved.

hitthepin

There was? I don’t remember all of the specifics exactly.

I mean, it would be nice to see this for KOTL revamped, but it’s gonna be hard because Immy’s posts got obliterated
