I get there are some times where you may forget a move existed, and maybe because of that, you lose the game. I get it. You're mad. It's okay. It's not cheating.
En passant rule was made because the ability of a pawn to move 2 spaces on its first move seemed a bit OP. So they made a new rule called "En passant" which means "in passing", which allows a pawn next to it to treat the OP pawn like had moved only 1 space instead of 2!
