I just needed someone to teach me radius what that gotta do with quantum physics

lul it turned into a flex forum

Circumfrence= Diameter x  π
Area= (radius
x radius) x π
Pretty sure this is how it is
Unless you already know this.

bruh my mom taught me already, its the chinese word divide by 2 then other junk

Gold just wondering, was my explanation of schrodingers experiment correct, in its basic principle, or did I miss something important
Avatar of M1m1c15
I’m so proud of that fact that I understood everything gold was saying in their mini essay about quantum mechanics, the concept of superposition also comes into play with quantum computing, in contrast to normal computing where the value can only be one or zero, where as in quantum computing the value can be both, this is where superposition come into play, and makes the concept of quantum computers so much more powerful then normal computers, because of this
Avatar of M1m1c15
That’s a super simplified version because I don’t feel like typing an essay on my phones
Avatar of leahabs1
You are absolutely right about quantum computing and how superposition comes in there.
Avatar of leahabs1
You explained the thought experiment fine.
I would say it similar like:
A cat’s inside a box with radioactive substance that has equal probability of decaying or not decaying within one hour. If the radioactive substance does in fact decay, it will start a small chain reaction, that releases acid, killing the cat.
The idea is, that until we open the box, the cat is both dead and alive. Of course this is hard to understand on our classical scale, but try imagine this happens often in the atomic world.

Yeah the details were a little fuzzy

Hey @chessPlatypus01, actually this is forums. Freedom of speech, to an extent.

do you feel the need to debate about physics on a chess site where a kid posted about a math test

I guess you are not a kid, because kids don't refer to themselves as "kids". In fact, according to my experience they hate to be called "kids" here in chess.com forums.

So, most likely you are some person in his twenties that got bored and created this topic just out of boredom and actually you don't have any test to attend, because nobody would ever create a topic in chess.com instead of actually studying for the test: Internet is full of information for math tests, exercices, etc... there are even videos in youtube with graphic examples. But you didn't have any useful purpose when you opened this topic. So don't complain if people start to discuss something that doesn't follow your absent purpose.

Here you started a completely general topic with room to any kind of discussion. Next time you want people talking about something in particular, be more specific.

And yes, I realised I should say the word believe, it’ll be dumb of me otherwise, I’m just a kid and haven’t studied much yet.

if youre a kid then youre quite the annoying 4th grader that follows you around and recites an article they read somewhere withought the slightest idea what it means, i hope you fall and get stuck in a foam pool

@chessPlatypus01   Please, be kind on the forums. Being rude to other users is going to reflect badly on you sad.png

You can't ask people to stop debating. If you don't want to hear people talking in this forum, you can unfollow this topic if you don't want to receive notifications.

Anyways, it's strange that you started a topic so that people shut up and don't say anything, that doesn't make any sense.
