A few years ago I was on vacation out of state, and tried to log in to my facebook account while on the internet connection that was provided in the rental property. That alternate location flagged my attempt to access my own account as "suspicious" and they would not let me log back in without providing proof of ID such as a copy of my drivers licence, even though I had possession of both #1 my fb password, and #2 access to the e-mail account that I used when I signed up. That's 2 credentials, not just 1. But they still wouldn't let me access my account without me providing to them sensitive information, which as a matter of SMART INTERNET USE I will not provide to this particular company, because if it is leaked from there someone else could use it to commit ID fraud and cause serious damage to me involving things in real life which are more important than fb...

Yes. And what's annoying me right now is that both some of my family members and a local chess club are using it as a main form of communication.
