What's the hate against Erik? He's a nice guy.
No, I think staff and moderators get way too much hate for having tough and usually unpaid jobs.
Erik's main priority for the site is to ensure his profit, like any company. He wants to sell memberships and whatnot and use his resources to catch cheaters in chess instead of giving this section much thought.
I'm not saying that improvements can't be made here, but they say things are being done, and ideally, things will change in a few months or so.

#81 well said. His main priority isn't to pay attention to the non-chess-related area of Chess.com
I've realized over the last few months or so how unappreciated the mods are here. They make mistakes but are usually quick to fix them as well. People may get banned or muted unfairly sometimes, but a mod can't even ban anyone anyways. We're so quick to blame mods for everything that we fail to realize how much they do for us and the community as a whole. Without them, this would be a dumpster fire and chaotic.
