hi guys!! ive been playing instruments my whole life, and ive always wanted to learn how to make music! now that i have quite a bit of music theory knowledge and have expanded my instrument collection, i think I’m ready start; i just don’t know where 🙃. if anyone has experience in this kinda stuff, feel free to dm me or just comment on here! sum stuff abt me that may help is that i have a guitar (electric & acoustic), bass, piano, keyboard, drum set, sax (I don’t use it tho), and a laptop. ik that ill most likely have to find some sort of DAW (I think that’s what it was called), and id prefer it to be free, but if it’s really worth ill consider paid ones too. lmk if you have any questions, thanks!! 😊

I play the cello but I don't have any formal musical experience

I recommend finding others to play with and playing for fun before making songs on your own

Cool! Like I said I recommend finding some friends and playing some songs together before writing songs. It's a big step

#3 i have played with a few groups but kinda just wanna make my own stuff. so I don’t have to worry if someone’s good enough to play the part, if they don’t like the genre, etc.

like this one group only wanted to play country (which I hate playing lol), one only played punk, and one only played metal.

If you're ready to make music, you can start writing songs. I wrote some for the cello, but I don't know any other cleffs
