The fact that I have achieved top 150 in the world in Stratego just shows how weak the bulk of the current playerbase is. I don't even consider myself a "good" player in Stratego; there is still a huge disparity between me and the top tier players who are truly very analytical. If the game had a lot of these deep analytical players like those who play chess, then I would be just about average. Unfortunately the game just isn't very popular for that.
