I didn't attend OSU but I did attend one of the myriad other colleges in and around Columbus. My college went year round. When OSU was on summer break I enjoyed the night life along the appropriately named High Street. Zachariah's Red Eye Saloon was my favorite hangout. I often went there to see the band "Spittin' Image".
Ok, short story. A friend where I worked first told me about Zach's. He told me he knew the manager and could probably get us in free. When we approached the guy at the door who was collecting cover charges he greeted me by name and told the bouncer to let us in without charge. It turned out that the manager that my coworker knew was in my class at college. Oh the memories! 
One night, at a club called the Agora, I and a couple hundred other people paid a five dollar cover and spent an enjoyable evening watching AC/DC on their first? US tour.

I sorta have to correct myself. I actually found that AC/DC played The Agora on Aug. 13th and 14th, 1977. I usually went downtown on Sunday night to avoid most of the crowds so I probably went on the 14th. The website I found said the cover maxed out at $4.50 and there were as many as 2,000 people. I just did some more checking because the 2,000 people seemed high. It seems the max capacity was 2,000 but it was nowhere near half full so maybe my guess was right.

@Gomer_Pyle I saw KISS in 1977! My second concert. Completely freaked me out as I was just 10. I don't remember in my Baptist Church being taught about Demons aka Gene Simmons. Hahaha NEVER have been the same. Lol. I saw AC/DC and they nearly burst my eardrums on FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK. Ears rang for 3 days.

I am obviously a Tar Heel. My Wife is a Buckeye. Born and bred . Over the course of our marriage I have to say that OSU plays a different kind of football than my Heels. The winning kind. Lol
My cat is a Tarheel fan. At least I think she is. Her back legs are mostly white with black heels so I just assumed...
