You've heard of one-upsmanship?

Trying to prove that no matter what the other guy has or does, you've got or done it better?

Well, this is the opposite.

I'll start:

My family used to live in a paper bag in the middle of the road. It wasn't even our own paper bag. We had to borrow it. And we had to share it with two other families.

but yeh lots of people have too many doom and gloom stories! like they feel we won't like them until they have our utmost sympathy.

I say kick it in the guts Trev! Give it a rest!

Any day above ground is a good one!

I was a big fan of Spike Milligan, too... I read three or four of his books on his World War II adventures.
