it's crazy seeing a couple of them before monty python eh
but yeh lots of people have too many doom and gloom stories! like they feel we won't like them until they have our utmost sympathy.

I was a big fan of Spike Milligan, too... I read three or four of his books on his World War II adventures.
I used to eat rotten breadcrumbs from the bin only for whole days.

Awse, I have exactly this book by him and as kids we used to listen to him read it on the radio just about every Saturday morning : }
hand written by him which is the best bit.
