I AGREE!
OTF comes with its problems.
Bump.
Listen, I agree with you. But why would you tell us bumping is bad and then go and do it

nvm sry, my English is bad
I agree, and it’s all true… except 10 forums a day. I’d say it’s a lot more than that. If anyone is interested in e-dating, I suggest wilo’s matchmaking thread!

It really depends how active you are how that number changes
also, I would def sign up to be a mod once I'm 18.
of all the people here i'm probably the most aggressive toward trolls.

You’re going to have to tone that aggression down a bit. You’ll be a kind of role model for OTF once you’re a moderator, so you’ll be held to a higher standard.
I saw this thread earlier, but wanted to wait until I got home to post.
Spam threads are annoying.
The moderation could be a bit better, but they do a decent job of muting users accordingly and banning the same recurring trolls. People like Baby skate by because chess.com makes it too easy to create new accounts.
"Person above you" threads are annoying.
E-daters lighten up OTF.
You just need to stop ripping apart the community's negatives and post where you want to. OTF can be fun if you post on the few threads you enjoy and talk to fun people.
Before you read this, this is a rant. If you dont want to read 1000 words or you're on app, I advise you to not read this.
I am not going to dm this to anybody because this is strictly to do with OTF.
I've been on OTF for about 5 and a half months, so it's time I address some of these problems.
Problem 1: Spam.
Statistic: Around 23% of all forums ever made have been made in the last year.
If these were all quality forums there wouldn't be a problem, but there is a BUNCH of spam forums
To the point where I see, like, 10 every day.
I would also consider the bump as spam.
Now, in some situations, it's not.
Such as:
Besides this, I consider the bump spam.
Problem 2: Moderation.
Let me start this with an important note. Our beloved moderators here do as much as they can to do what they can for OTF, and we have to be thankful for that.
But the trolls coming back over and over does get annoying at some point.
Another point: some people are banned/muted for absolutely no reason at all.
I have seen INACTIVE members not on the platform for months get muted (or banned).
And it's shocking how the trolls keep coming back without some kind of device ban that could possibly be put in place.
Problem 3: "the person above you"
If you have even TOUCHED OTF, you have seen one of these.
Absolutely guaranteed.
It's honestly stupid.
Most of the time, the same idea has been made fifty times over.
The bigger threads (like the TPBM plot twist forum and others) are actually original ideas.
But that's about it.
Problem 4: E-dating.
I'm genuinely serious about this.
To be completely honest, I've done it before.
But it's not an idea that anybody else should make.
You will see countless threads on OTF with this general topic (like "Will you date the person above you" or the 50 million "I need a girlfriend" threads)
Conclusion:
OTF has its ups and downs.
OTF is not flawless, just like us.
But these problems are the big downs in OTF that are way too noticeable.
Thank you for listening to my Ted-Talk.
