Yea. Basic Forum notifications in app would be nice, especially since they already have a notification thing that only gets used for friend requests and challenges.

Yes, it would. The only real advantage that using the app has an advantage is in DMs, since they glitch for me on my iPhone. Otherwise, the website is a much more pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Oohh, dm's annoy me a bit on the website. Every time I open up a chat it basically decides it needs to load every single message that's ever been sent, so consequently it really slows down sending a reply since its refreshing every couple seconds to load a new part of the page. (Of course this mostly applie s to my dm's with people who I talk to often)

Yes! It usually happens most when I've DMed a person for months or have simply sent tons of messages over time. When I have hardly messaged someone, it hardly glitches and it's easier to send a message.

It mostly happens when I've gone to answer Hope or Lito again since our conversations have been pretty much every day for ages now, though I suppose me and hope's will be reset again lol...

I'm sure that a large portion of the chess.com population has checked the forums before. I'm sure not many go all the way down and click on "Off-Topic", though.

Chess.com is very nice in that regard. Always resetting messages so it's easier.

Otf needs to be noticed more ;-;, idrk how people feel about this, but I think new people will be fun to see

It looks like the site is starting to notice us more, which is good. New people drop in to OTF every day, and some of them are great. Others have to be here a few months to learn the ropes.

a bit off topic (ba dum tshhh), but if you think about it, there might be a ton of non-signed in people watching and reading the messages we send, and some signed in lurkers

Entirely possible actually. I mean some of the people that have come here before admitted that they've kinda watched the forums for ages up until when they first commented.

I suppose if you look at it that way XD

she'll be back pretty soon though fhankfully

Avatar of BasixWhiteBoy

Hopefully so. Hope is one of the best members OTF still has.

Avatar of LordHunkyhair3

She definitely is!

Avatar of BasixWhiteBoy

All we can HOPE is that she comes back soon with a nice username!

Avatar of BasixWhiteBoy

That was nice of this particular someone to give her an account. Though we've probably already blown her cover by talking about her on a site feedback-type thread...

Avatar of LordHunkyhair3

Talking about what exactly? Hehe

They can also improve on unnecessary bans, of course. One-day mutes for saying something out of line is perfectly fine, but people like her and many others being muted unnecessarily is completely unfair. And this isn't the first or the last time that this will happen.

Avatar of Pitiless

Mobile definitely needs some work. Being able to see long posts and posting pictures would be nice.

Avatar of BasixWhiteBoy

Along with all of the other features of the website.

You can follow people. I think I get a notification. when someone I follow blogs or creates a topic. I don't think I get notified if they comment on an existing topic.

I wonder if this is the auto-mod. You should let me know if it happens and I can look into it.

Are you experiencing this in the app or on the web?

Avatar of AwesomeAtti

Really good suggestions everyone. Dont me shy to say what you really like or dislike.

I was surprised how many of you liked having a new pinned message. Although the current pin is temporary, I'm planning some more.

There have been some good RPs lately from @got-dead.

I dislike that the mobile app can’t do hardly anything
Avatar of Peskybird1234
They should add more freedom for mobile users
