Over-Saturation

OTF has become over-saturated with forums. It is extremely rare, as long as I have been a member, to see original threads. Now there are the unique “above you/below you…” threads, “rating” threads, “AMA” threads, and the humorous story type threads that basix does, but they all consist of the same premise. This couldn’t really have been prevented, unfortunately, because the more and more people that join OTF with their own unique ideas the more these unique ideas were bound to run out. I’m not saying this is necessarily a problem, but it does make the OTF experience for new members, such as myself, a little less enjoyable; every time I come up with some new idea for a thread, I look it up and it has already been made. Now of course there are definitely some unique ideas for threads out there, but they sure are hard to come up with, using my under-developed brain. Even this thread is very similar to threads made in the past. I don’t have a solution or recommendations, so maybe this thread is useless, but I still made it because I have free will.

And then there are the threads complaining about it, which are mostly valid but there are too many

#5 I at least have enough free will to make this thread.

True. The vast majority of threads now are spam or just uncreative ideas that people like me don't care to post on. There are always some good threads, but they're rarer nowadays. You have too many roleplays, 'Person above you' threads, AMAs, and just a lot of spam. It's unfortunate to see, but what makes OTF enjoyable is the 5% of threads that are well-made.
