My parents put me in a foster home and I didn’t get out until I was 16 because my older cousin “Adopted me” and gave me a job.
I owe everything to my cousin and the people at the foster homes.

They are nut-heads who think daughters are inferior. Don't know if your parents were bad or it was the worst situation for you parents which forced them to do this to you. But one thing for sure, you have got someone who cares about you, you're free now (are you?). Forget about bad experiences, you're so brave to say that you owe everything to your foster members and your cousin(your cousin is a good guy right? ). A girl once saved my life, and so I owe my life to her....
To Have good parents is lucky. And to be born as a girl is luckiest.... Never ever blame yourself for being a girl.
