Its a common practice here in the forums to write RIP for account closures. As for other serious tragedies , we do not intend to undermine them. We deal with them with long touching comments instead of a word.
The phase "RIP" is generally used to indicate the actual death of a person. I do not have anything against a forum topic dedicated to acknowledging an account closure of an active member - just don't make it seem like the end of the world. I too have made the mistake of dramatizing inactivity, but I have corrected all of these incidents.
And you have no reason to call someone good for nothing. And yeah many people know about him. You don't know thats a different thing.
