I am rooting for the Eagles.
Thanks for the sports news.
Philadelphia vs Green Bay
sounds good, but you did see what Vick did to the Giants D 2 weeks ago... I think that it will be close, but I think that it will be more of a tight game... I don't think that special teams will play such a huge part in this matchup. Akers will be perfect, no doubt about it.
Well, here we are, the "Game of the Weekend." The Philadelphia Eagles versus the Green Bay Packers. Most people think this is going to be a shootout, however, I'm thinking differently at the moment.
First of all, Aaron Rodgers looked awful against Chicago last week (even though his numbers don't back it up a whole lot) and I feel will be carried into this game. The Eagles defense is terrible, loitering around the cellar of the some of the worst statistically. however, I think Rodgers will throw two interceptions Sunday, and one will be snatched by Asante Samuel.
As for the Philly offense, Michael Vick struggled against Minnesota, mainly because of the condition he was in, but also because of all the rushers that were blitzing him. Vick should be almost completely fresh when he trots on the field. Green Bay's defense is no. 1, something about the cheeseheads that's not talked about much.
I think this game will be decided by Special Teams, Akers vs Crosby, Jackson vs Williams. David Akers' Field goal percentage is 84.2, while Mason Crosby's is 78.6. DeSean Jackson's average yardage per punt return is 11.6 with 1 touchdown, while Tramon Williams' average is 8.0 with no touchdowns. As for kickoff returns, (which I think is not going to be as important because I think both teams will struggle trying to score, and therefore, in this case we will be seeing quite a few punts) It would be Philadelphia's Jorrick Calvin vs Green Bay's Jordy Nelson. Calvin's average per return is 21.6 with no touchdowns while Nelson's is average per return is 22.5.
After all of this, the kickoff and punt returns are about equal, however, I think Crosby will miss a field goal, and or Akers will be perfect, which will decide the game.
Philadelphia 23, Green Bay 20
