Gross under reporting, macer, really? Looks like people here only follow the Kardashians. This thread should get locked.
Yes, it’s me again. As some may have noticed, I have been away from chess.com for an extended period of time. I don’t want to get into the reasons right now for my hiatus; nor am I going back to being a regular here now or likely anytime soon. I’m coming back simply to use whatever platform I have to raise awareness regarding a very important issue: the case of Hoda Muthana.
Hoda is a young American woman who in 2014 went on a trip to Syria. Shortly after her arrival, she married her first husband there, but just several months into the marriage, her husband tragically passed away. She then married her second husband, with whom she had a child, but alas, soon thereafter disaster struck again, and her second husband also died. Having gone through such devastating misfortunes, at the beginning of this year Hoda decided that she wanted to return to the US, and put her past behind her. But to make matters even worse, the US government, completely unsympathetic to her plight, is now denying her entry into the country.
For all of you who, like me, are moved by Hoda’s heartbreaking story, I suggest that you show your support for her by taking action. Among other things, please comment below with the hastag #IStandWithHoda to show this brave woman that she is not alone in her fight, and that we believe in her right to come back home!
