I think its funny that most of the people who say they support ukraine voted for the president who wont do anything about it.
yeah but all those democrats with those "i stand with ukraine" signs who arent actively doing anything about it

i understand that but i am quite comfortable without bombs everywhere and having to leave my home just because my country intervened on something we weren't terribly needed in
first of all, we should have to they are being blown up over there we should have interfered a long time ago (i note that in the 90s when america made ukraine put their nukes away we said we would protect them if they needed it)
second of all, if we do go over there, we will be sending the army that already exists not drafting a new one (and i dont think it will escalate to the point of us needing to)
third of all, as an american citizen you are saying you agree to the fact that you will protect your country, if you dont like that flee or get sick (which is frowned upon tremendously)

Fair enough, but I think I will either enlist in the Ukrainian military or chop my arm off
People who do that are basically saying "i want to take advantage of americas resources when its peaceful but I dont want to have to fight to protect it, even though i said i would"

Oak, she says she doesn’t want to have the frontlines extended to here, where heavy artillery fire could occur and she would have no way to fight back
besides if a draft were to happen today you would have less chance of not making it. in the past if you were a woman or declared yourself gay you wouldnt get drafted, so people who wanted to skip would just become gay.

ok bro whetever you say im just saying I'm still a high school student who deals with enough bomb threats as is, I don't want to have to leave everyone I love to go find safety because of this. its my own opinion, if you don't agree, that's fine, just don't try to make me look like a bad person just because i have a different opinion than you
