What’s the deal with players who resign the second they lose their queen, besides shame, ego, and tantrum.
Avatar of Itz_Griffin
Probly cause they just don’t think they can win 🤷

Because after losing their queen, they probably cant play without it because they rely on the queen too much

Exactly to both above. I can’t understand why a player wouldn’t want to come back from something that. Especially when it happens in the beginning. Be a genius, hero, or spectacular player. Ruins my mojo for real

Usually, I don’t resign from losing the Queen
But if they put it into a great position for themself, and a terrible one for me, then losing the queen will likely mean I lost the game
That’s probably why the majority of people resign

yeah, but if you lose your queen, you don't need to give up, bc the game may still turn around. happened to me b4, the person forgot that i could promote even though the were up a bishop and we had no queens

They forget you can turn a pawn into a queen

Sometimes
But when the Queen is lost, sometimes the game is lost
On a OTB game I played, we traded pieces into the endgame, where it was me: Q, 2N, and 1B
They had: Q, 1N, 1R
I lost my queen, and that gave them mate in 2

There is honor in admitting you can’t do it
