What are the "Points" on my Home page? How do I earn them?

Member Points are an index of your participation in the more social or community-oriented aspects of Chess.com.

You get a point every time you...

comment on something
create a forum post
post a blog
publish an article

They simply show how active you are in these areas. You can't buy anything with them! :)

The points just give folks an idea of how active a person is as you get points for posting, creating blogs, et (as mentioned in the above post). They don't mean anything but I actually like taking a peek at them from time to time so I can see if someone is very active on the site. Otherwise, you can do nothing with them. oh well. ;)
