ratings makes the man

I admit that I sometimes look at peoples rating in order to assess if it is a valid advice I receive in the forums.
1200-1900 their views can be as good as mine.

above 2000+ they probably know what they are talking about

titled players nearly become an unquestionable advice.

GM their advice is the law.
deep down I know it ain't that simple sometimes a 1500 player can have learned something from a GM that even a 2000+ doesn't know.

do you do the same?

I've found that generally, even experts can be misled by something they hear or personal bias.  But I'd have to say that normally I'd have to take the advice of a 2000+ rated player.
