I never wondered why. I've been there with that many notifications. It took me a couple days just to catch up with them but most of them I had dismissed. I feel so bad for you. at least you weren't absent from chess.com for 3 to 6 months or you would definitely feel me on how I thought that I would never catch up with all the notifications. But with lots of patience, I was able to get all of them checked or dismissed. this morning I had about 175 notifications. It took more than 2 minutes, I can say that. Anyways, good luck deleting the hundreds of messages 🤢🙂🫡
