Actually, I stay away from the more serious/volatile threads. I come to chess.com because it's fun and a nice distraction from the more serious side of life. :)

My mom passed away some yrs ago. Her birthday IS Aug 4th. On Aug 8th, I visited the cematary. My sister said, "You idiot, your 4 days late". I bet my mom is laughing her ass off, and she's not gonna let me forget it when I enter heaven. I'm Sooo embarrased, I've never forgotten her birthday before. My dad's is Dec 4th.

We some things in common. My husband's name is Ronnie. My son was supposed to be born on 8/8 but came early on 8/4! Speaking of my son, I promised to try to replace his broken dsi screen so I have to sign off. Wish me luck!!!

Parents are funny though. Mom will chalk it up & forgive, because that's what we do.
My son forgot my birthday a couple of years ago & I cried my eyes out. First time it ever happened & the last. Bless him.
You always learn from experience. Now is unlikely he will do the same mistake with his future partner! :)
