Silence.

Greetings to all!

A long while ago, in the times running with the name "sixties", two musicians decided to sing about the sound of silence.

and...well, it turned out that humans like to listen about the sound of silence. Which encouraged a few blokes, to make a new version of that song.

Right now, thay both get regularly listened to. And you, I ask, which one is better?

I myself hold on to the lovely song from the sixties

music vids have advanced over time allowing any viewer to see what the performer is seeing

i think that we lose a bit of imagination though , and see a sombre thing and maybe not loads of brightly clothed fun loving youth of the 60s which the simon and garfunkel original brings to my mind at times ,

musically , gimme the original too , but im biased being of a generation that firml;y believes that its a rare thing to get good music after 1990

Aww, terrible experience giving those examples, I have to chill out, and get something from no man's land between the two, which is my type.

I love both. I am a 90s child, and proud that because of this decade, music became so diverse. For example, Lincoln Park united genres. At the same time, I love me my Elvis Presley, Jackson5, Nirvana, and Stevie Nix. And classical too (I play violin). Also when i hear a song without the video, i interpret something differently compared to with the video. Both time periods are aesthetically pleasing to me. But the now? It gets more diverse and explorative from here on out. New genres are constantly being inspired to birth new ones. Classics are always going to be legends, of course. But I love diversity, and different cultures really displaying genres in such ways ..well music is one of the universal languages after all. I love what the kids are listening to these days, as well as what the old timers reminisce to!

I love classical music, the songs where someone sings, and I like, i could count on my fingers, and toes.

Btw justin beiber is a bad example of modern music unless you're shrieking 12 year old, omg I'm dead 😂😂

Well, i meant the type of music, not as much, as music that is modern.

Awesome music, awesome video. This is classical version of Vangelis - Conquest of Paradise. Torch carrying choir is just magnificent

Yes, Vangelis makes really beautiful music. My friend with a similar music taste to mine, worships conquest of paradise.

I fully agree. Besides, I disagree with the idea of making remakes of good stuff.

And well, that' it's as old as 1964, also gives it respect.
