Some of my poems

A Sea Of Colors

I am flying high over a sea of green, The sun is out,

the birds are singing, and the pale blue sky covers all.

 I fly lower to the canopy top, where others rise to the joy of spring.

Day turns into night and the great colors rise and fall as planned.

The midnight moon shines brightly on the dew covered leaves,

making the entire canopy twinkle with starlight.

Summer  comes and as the sun blazes down upon us, storms crash above us.

Fall arrives bringing cold windy days and rainy nights.

I rise again and take off above the canopy once more.

 A colorful show is about to begin, bringing peace and solitude to your hearts.

I fly higher to witness the colorful canopy, and what I see is breathtaking.

Fiery red, calm green, and peaceful purple cover the tree tops turning it into the Sea Of Colors. The Canopy. The Fruit Salad Colors of fall.

A Day in The Jungle

I glide over the trees for days and nights. Watching night break into day.

The birds are singing, the tigers are snoring, and even the old howler monkey is strolling.

I glide deeper down into the forest. Past rivers and waterfalls. Past the white shores and the beyond.

The eclipse is coming, I feel it in my bones. I flutter down to the old oak tree,

where I fall into a deep slumber.

The trees shake, the forest burns, and the

lightning crashes down from the sun.

 Smoke rises from the fields of joy,

tension is in the air and thunder clashes around us.

Dark clouds form ahead as the storm grows stronger.

The clouds burst, the rain falls, and the fire retreats to ash.

Tigers roar, birds sing, and the howler monkeys howl.

 Rays of hope break through the clouds of fear, purifying all who live near.

Trees grow, flowers bloom, and all the animals are peaceful.

What am I? I am a butterfly and that was my story.

I just thought maybe it would be nice to post some of my poems. They aren't the greatest but I enjoy them. Thought maybe other poem enthusiasts on here might as well.
