Will you be playing this game at your computer, I believe stockfish 7 is more powerful.
You should check its performance with other popular engine probably Rybka or Houdini.

Wow, just realized that Stockfish 1 has a ton of tunable features! A lot of them, well, most of them are simply missing in the new version. Here's the list -
Lol, way too many options, open the image in a new tab or use this link -

Thanks for your suggestion, but it's already been done a million times.
Stockfish 7 didn't have any trouble winning the first game. Here's how things went -
Here's a Lucas analysis of the game -

In game 2, Stockfish 7 will be playing without two of its pawns. It will be playing without its d and a paws.
The engines will recieve a little longer for this game, time control will be 10|5.
You wont become a GM by watching engines play...
You can do lots of goofy material odds games with Stockfish and Komodo and they will crush weaker engines. Double exchange and move odds and they still win.
The tuneable features were taken out of Stockfish some time ago, but you can use Sugar, a clone of Stockfish, which has all those parameters exposed.

Probably not but I actually learned something from that game. On move ten Stockfish 7 played a4 which forced a6 and only then took the bishop so black had to capture away from the centre and then followed up with b5 fixing does weak pawns. I might try that idea in my own games if it works.
Nice observation @ChessOfPlayer, never looked at it that way. Please share some more thoughts about that game.
@Yuri, that's not entirely true, watching these engines play is helping me learn some ideas.
Game 2 was amazing! Stockfish 7 was down 2 pawns but it still manged a win. It looked like a drawn rook and pawn endgame until a blunder (not sure) by Stockfish 1.
It would be great if someone could explain exactly what went wrong for Stockfish 1 because until move 30, it was clearly winning.
Here's the analysis graph of both engines, white bars are the analyses of Stockfish 7 and blue bar's are of Stockfish 1.

The next game will be with knight odds, Stockfish 7 will play without its queen's knight. Time control will be 15|10.
This should be difficult for stockfish 7 to win, let's hope that it can draw.
Stockfish 7 is an improved version of Stockfish 1. With each new version, the rating of the engine increases by approximately 50-60 points. So Stockfish 7 might be rated at 300-350 points higher than Stockfish 1.
Power of the Bishop Pair - Stockfish 7 won its 3rd material odds (This time without its queens knight) game against Stockfish 1 by utilizing the bishop pair to its full advantage. Here's the game -
Let's see how strong the latest version of Stockfish is when compared to its first version.
The first game will be with pawn odds, Stockfish 7 will play without its d pawn.
Time control - 5 minutes for each side with a 2 second increment after each move (5 2).
