Me most likely, as one of those who recognised he who shall not be named bs and called it as such. The forum has been relaxing and more conductive to enjoying chess and the people who play it.

Its the no troll group. Patzer, and Godspawn run it. You don't have to take a blood oath, but you have to agree to assist staff against REAL trolls. People who continualy spam, de-rail, create general havoc, etc. Years ago the trolls created a group and agreed to back each other up if anyone attacked them.
but the point of our group isn't only to take action against trolls. thats not the way I SEE it at least.
the purpose of that group is to allow discussion of forbidden subjects. in a place of respect I am nearly willing to talk about any topic.

This was NOT a witch hunt by an out of control mob. There's no WE. One member was upset by his plagiarism. One member was upset by the sexual postings. One member was upset by his "survivor" postings. My personal pet peve was the voluminous number of threads. Chess.com allowed this to snowball.

he was turning the forums into a plonkfest. he soon will again under a new disguise, he gets away with it for so long he probably doesn't mind being banned or muted at this stage.
Here's my olive branch to Shaun and Staff....??.... Have said member return (after his muting period) but have him come back with a completely different user name. That way, all of his prior threads will not return. Good threads have a ying and a yang. A certain amount of leeway is allowed for banter and jokes. But then it has to get back on-topic. 500, 900 posts, THAT'S a good thread. Look at Elroch's "Science Of Evolution" thread. 10,000 posts
, and he keeps a tight reign on it. This idea that WE "went after" him is ludicrious. WE are not staff. Unmasking known trolls is a skill based upon observation. I do not recommend it for anyone with less than 3-4 yrs under their belt.
We don't mind him returning. But we want him to have a site to return TO. I remember when there was no SPAM thread. JimmyKay, and a few others did a lot of long hard work on their own to get that up and running. Now Chess.com guards it with their LIFE!!. No one can name and shame, but the're outta be a place, a way, a procedure, a format, where notes can be compared about behaviour in the main forums.

if something is not a science, nobody should be allowed to use propaganda.
It will never end, I just popped in a thread in the general forum and the OP was endorsing, proclaiming, and shouting out his homosexuality. This is The same member who claims everyone is a homosexual. Personally, I could care less if he like chickens, a chess forum is not the place to endorse it, there are forums out there for such, I don't belong to them because I don't agree with the premises forth, it's a shame we have people pushing the gay agenda here. I think sexuality should be added to the don't don't discuss zone with politics and religion.
