Super Bowls 1 summary

Here is the summary of Super Bowl 1.

Super Bowl 1.

The first Super Bowl happened to have the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers in. Stars were filled in the first Super Bowl such as Bart Starr and Jim Taylor from the Packers to Len Dawson and Otis Taylor from the Chiefs. Max McGee, a Packer WR who was drunk and went to bed at 1:00 A.M., had a magnificent performance catching 7 passes for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns.Bart Starr was the game's MVP beating the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10. After the game, Jim Taylor, the RB who scored the first rushing TD in the Super Bowl, talked to Starr after the game. "Bart and I agreed 100% that Max should've been MVP" Taylor said to the press later after the conversation.

I watched that game, or at least until it started to look like a blowout. It wasn't that big a deal back at that time.  Everybody expected the Packers to win anyway.  Then I went outside at halftime and played with my buddies. The Super bowl was in the afternoon back then.  Nobody had much respect for the AFL teams back then, but Super Bowl 3 and 4 showed that the AFL was a lot stronger than they thought.
