By the way, I mentioned this in post #125, but it seems to have been lost in the fow of the conversation (which is a good thing - it's great that this campaign is generating so much dialogue within the chess.com community). But anyway, if you would like to support my campaign, and our movement for the people to take back chess.com, you can add your name to the list of signatures that appears in the first post of this thread. If you want to see your name on that list, please let me know in the comments!

Thank you for your support!

Hello, my supporters! I apologize for not posting in this thread and interacting with you for the past few days. I was embroiled in a conflict with another member who also wanted to run for staff member, who was ripping off my ideas in an attempt to deceive the public into thinking he is also an advocate for real change, when really he's only in it for himself. Anyway, I took the fight to his own turf, and scored a resounding victory. Now that his "campaign" is in shambles, and he has been exposed for what he truly is, I'm back.

And what a time it is to be back! Recent events have shown us that anything is possible, and that the will of the people will prevail against all odds, and in spite of all obstacles lying in the way. Such a reality is particularly encouraging for our movement, which represents in every way the will of the people, and absolutely devastating for the current staff and chess.com elite, who will soon realize (if they have not already) that they simply cannot stop us. We will storm this website, and take it back from its corrupt rulers, who have mistreated and ignored us for far too long! Together, we will succeed in making chess.com a better place for every single member of this wonderful community! Together, we will  #MaceChesscomGreatAgain!

Chess.com foruns became boring some months ago.

I'll tell you why.

I made the following thread, and they locked it without a nice reason.

It is a funny thread!!

What is happening to the mods?

These foruns are becoming BOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIINGGGG!!

GuessWhoIAm

You related it to you-know-who, so they have to lock it due to the mention of politics...

Wait a minute, you-know-who is mentioned in the link you gave, this thread's gonna get locked! O.o

I disagree with almost everything the OP has posted. My main objection is to reducing the penalty for engine users. NO way. This troll should NEVER get to be a Mod.

Bilbo21

Chess.com is already very weak on cheaters.  By legitimising a certain amount of engine use, it may even deter those rebellious users.

pam234

@ Bilbo:- I doubt that very much.

Stern face hidden in that post, beware.

It's true there are people there who cheat for the fun of gaming the system and to try to evade detection.  Like Yuri, under his many names, or that fake kid something like Nagrundfield, who was around for ages.

We should respect the choices of players who prefer to use engines in their games. While some regulation is still required to ensure that engines are used in moderation, current punishments for engine use are grossly inhumane, and must be reduced significantly if our community is to stand for tolerance and understanding. In addition, as I have noted in my platform, the punishments are incredibly hypocritical considering that titled players, who often reach much higher ratings than engine users, are rewarded rather than punished for crushing regular members. In order to level the playing field, regular members must be allowed to use engines.

I do not respect any player who uses an engine or any player who supports cheating.
