I'm not a fan. Not my kind of music and I haven't listened to much of it anyway. You're probably right in some ways but I think it has connected with people or else they wouldn't absolutely obsess over it. Technically speaking it is music, just not necessarily good music.

There is also a skill in making big selling pop and staying relevant for more than a decade. If there wasn't any skill involved then people with the looks and money but no musical talent like Lindsey Lohan would have been able to break into it.
