thanks for the posts, but there are other threads for songs.
if many here would like to post songs, fine. but, i started this topic to speak specifically of bands filled with very talented musicians.
to that point, personally, i don't think u2, the doobies, or steely dan qualify.

to my post #31, i easily understand we have bands where we like a lot of their music. i'm a big beatles fan, but i wouldn't say they were anywhere near the best musicians of their era. songwriting, sure, but they actually wrote many songs specifically to just make money.
Absolutely Al, I agree. And they didn't tour much. They HATED touring.

Yes were pretty good defo! Wondrous Stories one of my all time favs.
Well im out of luck coz i dont know any modern day Musicians with real talent. Could try looking on X-Factor or American Idol. I dont know where to find them.If i hear or come across a good or exceptional song from a modern artist,i'll post it in here.
