You can IM them secretly. That's how people usually do it. So, there's 2 hidden guys trying to take down the factory. Can they go undercover?

Avatar of HorribleTomato

Hmm. Maybe you can not put out clues and watch everybody accuse each other of being the EMP planter. That'll be fun.

Avatar of HorribleTomato

Do they need materials from around the factory to make the teleporter?

Avatar of HorribleTomato

What do you want to call the game?

Emp Mystery [The Next Gen]

Story

The year is 3001. Players are working for a company trying to make teleporters. The problem- we've recieved word that two of the players are sabotuers who want this thing to go down in flames. They have EMP devices hidden with them, and will plant them around the map to make this place blow sky high. The goal of the other players is to weed out the imposters before it gets too late, and finish making the teleporters.

I'll make more rules later. Does this look good so far?

How do you want your point system to work? Is it out of 100 points?

Will that work in a 20 day game?

Yes, it will. Does the game ALWAYS take 20 days?

Emp Mystery [The Next Gen]

Story

The year is 3001. Players are working for a company trying to make teleporters. The problem- we've recieved word that two of the players work for WAAT (World Against Advancement in Technology) who want this thing to go down in flames. They have EMP devices hidden with them, and will plant them around the map to make this place blow sky high. The goal of the other players is to weed out the imposters before it gets too late, and finish making the teleporters.

Basic Rules

Everybody has to go around the factory to complete quests that will build the teleporter. Every quest you complete gives a clue on who the WAAT members are. Finish all the quests to finish the teleporter and win the game.

The WAAT members spawn with hidden EMPs and know who the other WAAT member is. They have to plant EMPs around the map. Once they place enough, they blow the place sky high and win.

Points

I don't know yet.

Map

I don't know yet.

I'll make more rules later. Does this look good so far?

Also, every player has an avatar. They offer no competitive advantage, they are just made for the clues.

Sorry for publishing the rules again and again. I'm just constantly updating them.

Avatar of HorribleTomato

You'll probably have to make a map yourself, because you're creating the quests and clues and stuff.

Avatar of HorribleTomato

Publish all the map descriptions and I can compile it into the rules. The last thing I think we have to do is points.

Hows that for a start

That's pretty good. I'll update once we have the full map, because I don't want to post the same stuff 5 times in a row.

Avatar of HorribleTomato

Hmm. Aren't you building the teleporters? Will they let you go past or do you have to defeat them?

Avatar of HorribleTomato

Ooh, is the generator a room? What's East? The entrance?

No respawns. Once you've been killed, you're dead for GOOD.

Points

Normal Players- +5 points for every completed quest [Total by team] and up to 50 points based on activity/how well you play. Complete 10 quests to win. Can't gain points after death.

WAAT Members- +5 points for every EMP they place properly [Total by Team] and up to 50 points for activity/how well you play. Place 10 EMPs to win. Can't gain points after death.

Map

Center- Computers where workers program machinery.

North- Machinery that assembles parts created by 3D printers.

East- You enter through this side. They test things here.

South- The door to the generator.

West- A series of 3D printers used to manufacture parts.

Generator- DO NOT ENTER.

On each side, there is a guard. There is more security as the game progresses due to the players becoming more and more suspicious.

Avatar of HorribleTomato

What description should I put for the Generator? It seems important.

Generator is mysterious and off limmets to programmers

I'll just put DO NOT ENTER as the description. So, how should points work, sj? No respawns, right?
