New update: this thread is now about poetry and possibly warp drives.

UPDATE: the this thread is currently about the question: Is oil a finite resource or a manufactured substance? Also ...warp drives.

Original post:

According to some guy who really knows what he is talking about but who’s name I can’t remember we have already entered the next mass extinction event.

Many believe the human race has less than a 100 years left and some say 50 years.

Floating-Duck

On a planet with finite resources and infinite growth plus too many humans things are bound to go south pretty soon.

Floating-Duck

We are already running out of oil in a big way but how will it end?

By 2025 the population growth path and the water availability path will meet.

Pretty soon wars will be about water instead of oil.

Floating-Duck

We are doing too little and it is way to late to stop the inevitable doom of the planet.

The question is will it be war or will nature simply get fed-up enough and intervene?

Floating-Duck

This thread is so important it should probably be sealed in an indestructible capsule and sent into space.

Floating-Duck

apparently there is not a sea bird alive today without some form of plastic in its gut.

The planet certainly does not need humans as we are little more than the mould on the sandwich or as agent Smith put it ' humans are a disease'

Dinosaurs existed for over 200 million years, and only a large meteorite changing the climate worldwide put them down. You really think puny humans can exterminate themselves in 50-100 years by their own means? wink.png

Floating-Duck

If dinosaurs relied on oil, chopped down every tree , over fished the oceans, polluted the drinking water and the air, had nuclear capabilties, poured billions of tons of chemicals into the soil, filled their food with poison and changed the weather I think they pretty much would not have made more than a hundred years.

It has only been about 100 years or so since the discovery of oil and all its many uses and it doesn't exactly look like there will be a happy ending

Floating-Duck

I think the dinosaurs had tiny brains too which is pretty much a requisite for longevity as a species.

Floating-Duck

This truth will not be well received

Eoin-MacLove

bed bugs have small brains and in spite of constantly getting trapped under butts, are expected to continue for 18.6894332345 billion years.

Floating-Duck

Yes, smaller brains = higher survival rate. Even if all the butts disappear bed bugs would probably survive.

If my theory is correct it could also mean half of the posters on the forums surviving the next mass extinction event and in that case the bed bugs would probably commit voluntary suicide.

Floating-Duck

Yet you call me pal. And follow me. And are addicted to my threads.

it is like you totally love the Duck but just can't bring yourself so far as to admit it.

Floating-Duck

I considered your post ciarli and to my surprise find that it is impervious to counter arguements.

My only option is to ignore it completely in a bid to make my own theories seem more important.

Floating-Duck

I can't help but notice you don't refute my claims kaynight. Very interesting. Just saying.

Floating-Duck

Mhuwuhuhuhuhahahahahaa.....kaynight flees.

What is the score now btw Duck 416 Kaynight 0 ?

Floating-Duck

The weakness of your reply is a direct indication of how much the truth hurts, like you literally have no repsonse. Just saying.

Or keek.

I am not always sure which is best to use.

Eoin-MacLove

stop trying to impersonate the duck, you are more kaynight's level.

That is harsh and unreasonable and possibly cruel. Kaynight's level can only be achieved through a lifetime of brain dead one liners and saying 'keek' a lot, and being lonely and devoid of humor and a desperate need of attention and not having a girlfriend and being lorded over by the English.

Not to worry. The site is rife with 7 year olds and they all love ponies.
