I was taking it that every pokemon was in its base form, like necrozma isn't fused with solgaleo or lunala, Arceus is in its normal-type form, and so is silvally, etc.
That also means no battle bond greninja, no hero palafin and others like that.

Pokémon faint, lions die. And Pokémon can survive Flamethrower, let alone some bites and scratches
Also, I'm counting regional forms as separate pokemon from their originals, especially G. Meowth, G. Farfetch'd, P. Wooper, and H. Sneasel since they evolve into new/different pokemon than their original.

Get a couple strong base lions and they could easily make it past 2.4 billion. You underestimate the kings of the jungle.
